Isaac Archer (bap. 12 Oct 1828), son of Samuel Archer and Ann Enifer, married Sophia Hockley, daughter of Daniel Hockley and Sophia Mason, on 13 May 1848 at St Mary the Virgin, Great Dunmow. It's claimed the bride was 18, but she was only 16. Witnesses were James Archer and Emma Archer.

Then Sophia Archer died, aged 17 (1848 D Quarter in DUNMOW Vol 12 Page 55) and was buried on 13 Nov 1848, at St Mary the Virgin, Great Dunmow. The reasons for such early marriage and the cause of her death are easy to surmise: Sophia had given birth to a daughter, Esther Archer in 1848 S Quarter in DUNMOW Volume 12 Page 73. The infant also died.

And Isaac Archer simply disappears, or at least, there are no further records in Great Dunmow that relate to him nor that can [yet] be isolated elsewhere.
